Warranties are available for houses. The scope of their coverage varies, but they can cover such things as the roof, the heating and cooling system, and other aspects of the house. Warranties can be offered by sellers as "icing on the cake," or buyers can purchase warranties themselves. They usually cover the house for the first year of new ownership. Ask your Realtor if a warranty is available.
